Having been incorporated into King County in only 1995, the city of Shoreline is relatively new. However, the region itself can hardly be described as young. The history of this 11.74 square mile plot of land just north of Seattle stretches back considerably farther than the 1990's. Its located 15 miles north of downtown Seattle.
