Federal Way is a city located in King County, Washington. Federal Way is an edge city between Seattle and Tacoma. It is located on Puget Sound and bordered by Tacoma to the south and the suburbs of Milton to the southeast, Auburn to the east, Kent to the northeast, and Des Moines to the North.Federal Way, Washington - Olympic Mtn.

Federal Way has many exciting things to do for visitors and our local residents. There are many parks and gardens, along with a very active community center. Federal Way also boasts the states premier Aquatic center which was built to hold the Olympic team trials. You don't get much better than that!

There is a lot to see here in Federal Way and much more nearby. We have many Gardens and Parks including Celebration Park, West Hylebos Wetlands, Rhododendron Botanical Garden, Pacific Rim Bonsai Collection, PowellsWood Garden, Steel Lake Park and of course Dash Point State Park.

In addition to our great parks, we have several beaches as well. The largest beach in Federal Way is at Dash Point State Park. Don't forget to visit Redondo Beach, and the beach at Steel Lake Park as well.

The opportunities to enjoy some entertainment are varied and wonderful year round!  If you're looking for a night at the theatre, the events range from highly acclaimed local theatre groups to some of Broadway's finest productions.

Federal Way is proud of its educational opportunities. The Federal Way Public Schools are known for their leadership in public education through innovative programs such as their Marketing Academy and the Internet Academy, an innovative distance-learning program providing individualized instruction for elementary and secondary students over the internet.

Highline Community College offers off-campus programs in Federal Way, with their main campus just 5 miles away.

In addition, within a 30 mile radius reside Green River Community College, Renton Technical College, Tacoma Community College, Bates Technical College, Clover Park Technical College, University of Puget Sound, Pacific Lutheran University, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, and the University of Washington, just to name a few!
