Stillwater is a city in Payne County. It is the county seat. The community was named for Stillwater Creek.

Stillwater Medical Center is a 129 bed state-of-the-art non-profit hospital. The hospital also offers diagniostic radiology, nuclear medicine, MRI, CT, ultrasound, cardiac cath lab, medical fitness, physical, occupational and speech therapy, laboratory, respiratory therapy and pharmacy services. The hospital is staffed by over 600 employees including 70 physicians representing 20 specialties.

The entire family will find a wealth of recreational resources in Stillwater. Big 12 intercollegiate sports and some of the finest golf in the world dominate a calendar filled with fun for all ages.
