Students may choose a program of traditional classes, applied classes or advanced-placement classes. Course offering include French, German and Spanish.  

Sports offered include baseball, basketball, cross-country track, football, golf, gymnastics, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track and field, and wrestling.

Other programs include art, vocal and instrumental music, dance, drama, debate and mock trial. Both music departments are recognized as among the best programs in the state. Special education programs are also available for children with mental or physical disabilities. A pre-school for handicapped children is also offered by the Altus Public School system as well as "English as a Second Language" classes for children at all grade levels.
