Hallandale Beach is a city in Broward County, Florida. The city is named after Luther Halland, a worker for Henry Flagler's Florida East Coast Railroad.

The beach also has a playground, restrooms and showers.

The Museum of Discovery and Science (mods.org), 12 miles from Hallandale Beach, has interactive exhibits for all ages. The museum, open daily, has an IMAX theater and special events when new exhibits open. These can include art projects, story times and scavenger hunts. Permanent exhibits include Powerful You, which focuses on the human body; Go Green where you can learn about recycling and a sustainable lifestyle; and an outdoor exhibit with a nature walk, Living in the Everglades. The Discovery Center, for children 6 and under, lets kids crawl, climb and build.
