For more outdoor adventure, take your bike or jogging shoes to the Suncoast Parkway Trail. The Suncoast Trail is a paved recreational trail that runs parallel to the Suncoast Parkway in Hillsborough, Pasco and Hernando counties. This 400-foot-wide corridor provides a safe route for bicycle and pedestrian commuting and serves as a connector between public lands, parks and greenways. The first major trail connection came about in September 2003 when the J.B. Starkey Trail was linked to the Suncoast Trail. This connection allows users to easily access the 8,000 acre J.B. Starkey Park for hiking, biking, horse riding and camping. The trail encounters rivers, wetland interpretive and wildlife.
