Mill Pond Falls are a nice little waterfall in the center of Newington at Mill Pond Park. There is a footbridge over the falls and the path continues around Mill Pond. There is an observation area with benches right below the falls.

The parks and recreation department has done an excellent job of providing public facilities and programs for all ages, and private facilities also abound. Residents volunteer their time and services to such worthy causes as the renowned Newington's department. The Joseph P. Doyle Senior and Disabled Center provides facilities for Newington's very active senior population.
