There are two entry points to this recreation area. The parking at the Echo Canyon trail head is limited - so much so that if the weather is nice the lot will always be full. The drive into Echo Canyon is just east of 44th Street and Tatum. To access the mountain from the east there is limited parking along Invergorden for the access to the Cholla Trail. Access by driving mile north from Camelback Road and 68th Street.

Newly constructed lofts or condominiums in the downtown Phoenix area have become very popular. The warmest month of the year is June with an average maximum temperature of 99.90 degrees Fahrenheit, while the coldest month of the year is December with an average minimum temperature of 40.90 degrees Fahrenheit.

Temperature variations between night and day tend to be moderate during summer with a difference that can reach 21 degrees Fahrenheit, and moderate during winter with an average difference of 27 degrees Fahrenheit.
