Lake Havasu City is a city in Mohave County.

A popular tourist attraction in Lake Havasu City is the London Bridge, which crosses an 8ft deep man-made canalLakehavasu City, Arizona - London Bridge that leads from Lake Havasu (on the Colorado River) to Thompson Bay. It was bought for US$2.5 million from the City of London when the bridge was replaced in 1968.

Lake Havasu's deep water, fringed with coves and inlets, provides ideal fishing conditions for black and striped bass, crappie, bluegill, catfish and trout. Lineside bass can be found in schools around the Parker Strip. Some of the best fishing is toward the south end of the Lake in the Bill Williams Arm.

Boating, skiing, swimming and other water sports are the dominant activities on the Lake. You will find just about every type of water-based recreation including many organized events like music festivals, international jet ski competitions and auto shows.

Lake Havasu City has been discovered by thousands of families wanting to get their children out of the big city and into more of a small town atmosphere. There are six elementary schools, two middle schools and a high school.  These public schools teach over 6,000 students. In addition, there are several religious oriented and private schools. Mohave Community College, with a campus in Lake Havasu City, is a fully accredited junior college.

More than 700 boys and girls participate in the city soccer and little league programs each year. There are also many athletic leagues for men and women, as well as nearly all of the nationally recognized service clubs.

Lake Havasu City is not a bedroom community, suburb or retirement town. Lake Havasu City is a small city, with a mix of people who have one thing in common: This is where we choose to live, work and play. 

Most of the residents moved here from the other states and some from other countries, so that we could enjoy the fine weather, clean air and relaxed, southwest lifestyle.

Temperature variations between night and day tend to be fairly limited during summer with a difference that can reach 18 degrees Fahrenheit, and moderate during winter with an average difference of 24 degrees Fahrenheit.
